Planning Commission

Halifax Township's Planning Commission held its 2012 reorganization meeting on February 6, called to order at 7:02 PM by Vice-Chairman Bob Artman. Three of five members were present — Bob Artman, Randy Paul, and Flo Mallonee — with Fred Ford and Steve Sipe absent. The brief 21-minute meeting focused on electing officers for the new year and an informal discussion of three draft ordinances, none of which advanced to a vote.

• Fred Ford elected Chairman (3-0): Nominated by Randy Paul, seconded by Flo Mallonee. Notably, Ford was absent at the time of his election.

• Lighting Ordinance briefly mentioned: Randy Paul noted that most lighting is already regulated under existing rules; no further action taken.
• December minutes not approved: Only two of the members present at the December meeting were in attendance, so the commission deferred approval of those minutes.
